It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Hunts Cross.
The annual Christmas event returns on Wednesday 29th November in the community garden off Speke Road.
This year is going to be bigger and better with an afternoon and evening event.
From 2pm – 3pm the Christmas Tree Lights will be switched on with help from Hunts Cross Primary School Choir.
Then at 6:30pm – 7:30pm Allerton Brass Band will be performing Christmas Carols under the Christmas Tree.
Councillors Rachael O’Byrne and Sharon Connor will be serving hot chocolate and mince pies and Father Christmas will be at both events handing out festive treats.
Councillor Rachael O’Byrne said “I love this time of year and I love organising this event every year, it’s great to bring the neighbours together to celebrate the season and look forward to the new year.”
The events and Christmas Tree are funded by the Councillors Neighbourhood Fund and it is supported by Hunts Cross Primary School, Niblock Butchers, Pearson Collinson, Hunts Cross Co-operative Supermarket, The Metro Café Bar, St Columba’s Church, St Hilda’s Church and Merseyside Police.
