Autism Awareness Day celebrated in park

A special event is being held in Norris Green Park on Sunday 2 April to celebrate World Autism Awareness Day.

Organised by Autism in Motion Liverpool, the ‘Picnic in the Park’ from 12 midday to 4pm will include football matches and a beat the goalie competition, boxing demonstrations by Rotunda ABC, the Signing Choir and bouncy castles. They have also invited information and service providers, specialist therapists and activity providers.

Autism in Motion Liverpool was set up by a group of parents to provide support, advice and guidance to parents and carers with the hope that they can become the best advocate for their children. They are based in the Norris Green and Croxteth area of the city and hold regular parent support meetings with Guest speakers, courses, sports activities, days out and much more.
